Like other American companies, Medea Inc. was in a position to pivot from its core business to assist in the production of much-need Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during the global pandemic crisis. The Company was able to deliver more than 25 million face masks and N95 respirators to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Under the auspices of the newly created, Medea Medical Products division, the Company also supplied millions of units of PPE to hospitals and the private sector, including Lowe’s, Savon Supplies, Emerson Electric, Benchmark Construction, AEG and others in the United States and Canada. The Company is now a direct preferred distributor of Honeywell Safety Products, USA Inc., which includes highly sought after N95 respirators and safety equipment.
The wearing of face masks and other PPE has been proven to reduce the spread of Covid and has become the "new normal." With approval of Covid-19 vaccines came hope. However, in order to keep the economy running and get businesses back up and running, further precautions were, and still are, necessary. The development of the Covid-19 rapid antigen test was another breakthrough on the road back to “normal.” Medea is an authorized sales agent for companies such as Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD), which is a global leader in medical technology and manufacturing. Additionally, Medea was granted distribution rights from Intrivo to distribute its Covid-19 test kits manufactured by Access Bio.
As the Medea Medical Products division grew, more requests for products and services arrived including, the distribution of Covid-19 rapid antigen tests. The move into testing required rigorous permitting and the addition of professional health care workers including, physicians. Medea Testing Solutions was created to accommodate this highly specialized service.
Medea Testing Solutions has been chosen as the testing company of choice by notable venues such as the Staples Center, The Forum, Pechanga Arena, Los Angeles Convention Center, Dignity Health Sports Park, Toyota Sports Performance Center, Enterprise Center, the Stifel Theatre, Toyota Arena, the University of San Diego, and Dolby Theatre, among others.
Testing sites are set up on property. Medea Testing Solutions operates within CDC and state and local government guidelines. The Company takes care of all aspects of the testing procedure, allowing the venue operator to maintain its focus on producing a safe, enjoyable event for all.
